Creating the Curves, Gaze Burvill's meandering oak bench is representative of the River Derwent, which dominates Chatsworth's Gardens. The fluid bench is designed to intertwine and juxtapose with the Cube's stark facade and defiant architecture.
MOON SCULPTURE AT KIPS BAY SHOW HOUSE
David Harber will provide a moon-inspired installation for a Chinese inspired terrace garden designed by celebrated landscape architect, Janice Parker at the 45th Annual Kips Bay Decorator Show House In New York this May.
In Bamboo Garden, Parker is reinventing the traditional Chinese moon gate as a lush green horticultural element. Luna Mantle is made entirely of bronze and features delicate petals softly lit to emulate the glow of the moon, creating a “powerful focal point for the garden, bringing the design together beautifully” Parker explains.
For nearly 50 years, celebrated interior designers have transformed a luxury Manhattan home into an elegant exhibition of fine furnishings, art and technology to raise critical funds for after school and enrichment programs for New York City children. It was a great honour for David Harber to be invited by eminent landscape designer Ed Hollander to install a 1.5 metre Torus to adorn this fabulous New York roof terrace.
Announced each year on the 21st April – the Queen's birthday – the awards recognize exceptional achievement in business and represent the highest honour that can be bestowed on a UK company. The award was presented to designer and sculptor, David Harber, at his Oxfordshire studio
