For nearly 50 years, celebrated interior designers have transformed a luxury Manhattan home into an elegant exhibition of fine furnishings, art and technology to raise critical funds for after school and enrichment programs for New York City children. It was a great honour for David Harber to be invited by eminent landscape designer Ed Hollander to install a 1.5 metre Torus to adorn this fabulous New York roof terrace.
The brief was for a series of sculptures that would lead shoppers on a journey through Doha Festival City, the largest mixed use development in Qatar.
The planting at the front of the Oak Pavilion will be selected for the sunny location — a mix of perennials and grasses to create a contemporary English garden. The rear corner of the garden is where the two main vistas meet under a stand of four Quercus Ilex.'
